* This Computer will be programmed to your VIN and will come with the latest GM calibration for your vehicle.

* Programming the module with/to your VIN is necessary to ensure that your vehicle will run and function properly.  Just because a computer service number matches yours does not mean it will work.

* All Computers come with a One Year Warranty (nontransferable)

* Computers are a mixture of NOS, Running Vehicles, Refurbished. ECM will not look brand new, oxidation, dis-coloration, storage etc.

IMPORTANT:
The 30-minute security relearn procedure may need to be done before the car will start with the replacement computer.   The manual procedure requires no tools except a fully charged battery, this is necessary because the key will be on for 30+ minutes. Battery chargers may be used, we do not recommend using the higher 20+ amp fast charge mode.  It can also be done quickly with the use of a scan tool.  Some vehicles are more difficult to re-learn than others requiring multiple re-tries using the manual procedure.  For users experiencing issues performing the manual re-learn process we recommend the use of a scan tool.

IN SOME CASES:
A crankshaft variation relearn may need to be performed once the vehicle is running. This will be evident if the check engine or service engine soon light comes on once the vehicle is running. You will need access to a scan tool to do this and clear any related trouble codes (Code P0315). If this is not available to you a repair shop will have to perform this and clear the related trouble code. The vehicle will run normal but the “service engine soon” light will come on and a trouble code will be stored until this is resolved.

NOTICE:
Both procedures are the responsibility of the end user. Modules can be plugged in and power cycled, others require the vehicle to “sync up” to the new module and exchange security information. It is the end user’s responsibility to do both the vehicle theft deterrent relearn (manually or via scan tool) and the crankshaft variation relearn (via scan tool) to make the computer functional on the vehicle.
