How to Convert a 98 Fbody to a 2002 (0411) PCM

Are you an owner of a 97-98 Corvette or a 98 Camaro or Firebird? Have you thought about switching out the slow, limited 98 engine pcm for a newer, faster, more reliable PCM? If you have then you are in the right place. What you will find below is a guide on how you can update your Corvette or Fbody to run the newer pcm (0411) found on the 2002 Fbody.

1.) The first and most important step in this conversion is going to be labeling all the wires at the Red and Blue PCM connectors. I do this with a Brother P-Touch labler using the 1/4 label strips. Yes its does take some time to label each individual wire but its 100 times easier to trouble shoot issues you may have after you are all done. After you label the wires go thru a 2nd time and make 100% sure that you have labeled them correctly.

2.) Make sure that you have a copy of our "Converting a 1998 LS1 PCM to a 1999+ PCM pinout Sheet" I like to use the Comments table to X off the completed wire moves.

3.) Now that you have labeled all the Red and Blue PCM Connector wires and you have double checked them for accuracy, go ahead and take a small screw driver and push in on the tabs on the Red and blue pcm connector holders to release the red and blue covers. Once they are off take your small screw driver and carefully pick up on the white retaining pins and pull the wire out of the connector block.
